I just finished the piece I talked about the other day when I was heading to Coral Springs. I had talked into my I Phone so I wouldn’t forget the idea. I went to put the piece on and I couldn’t believe it; it brought tears to my eyes. This piece is so beautiful and over the top, it blows me away! I have been in that mode lately, wanting to create those type of pieces. I go through these times of design where I just start to create and I can’t stop. I also created another set that is very pretty with a piece that I have been wanting to create something with, but for the life of me could not come up with a design. I would put something together, and I didn’t like the way it would look so I would take it apart and set this crystal disc to the side. It has sat on my design desk for quite a few months. So the other night, I am watching television and it hits me what I should do, now I have had ideas before, thinking this is it and it wasn’t. I am happy to say that it came out beautiful! YIPPEE!!!!! I will be posting pictures next week so you can see them. Bev comes up to photograph new designs and go through pictures she has already taken. So on April 30th we have another ladies luncheon scheduled and we are expecting 15 ladies! We were up to 17 but I received 2 cancellations this morning, which is quite normal, that is why I like to overbook. One of the attendees is actually my very dear friend’s daughter, she is 14 years old and she has a dance coming up. She told her Mom she would love to have one of my pieces for her dress. I was very touched and honored that she said that, so I told her that she should come to the luncheon and pick out some elements she likes and then her and I will design a piece together. How fun is that going to be? I did this one other time, and it was a beautiful young lady with special needs. In fact we had put together a fundraiser with TLC Mobility which is an amazing non-profit. “ We look to promote inclusion through transportation for children and adults with special needs and those without disabilities into family, work, and community life.” Please check out their web site at www.tlcmobility.org. The winner who won the contest won many prizes, one of them being a design session with yours truly. Her Mom Terri came with her and the three of us sat down and looked at the web site to see what Sarah liked. We then proceeded to create a whole set for her. It was truly a special time for me and I believe for Sarah and Terri. I just love what I do! How could I not, I get to create beautiful jewelry and then spend time with amazing women of all ages!
